I know there’s a whole world of Casio G-Shock modding out there but I haven’t tried my hand at any of it. While the F-91W is not a G-Shock, it is a classic watch and I’ve owned a few in my time. Two of them were sitting on my shelf and an idea came to mind yesterday so I took one apart to see what I could do.
I was tempted to get the case Cerakoted but decided to do something a little more subtle instead. I picked a colour that complimented those found on the screen and painted the bezel yellow.
It just makes me smile every time I look at it… It’s far from durable but realistically I’ll end up wearing this once a month for a few hours and I’m ok with that.
I would be all over an official version if Casio made them with interchangeable bezels in a range of colours. Until then, I’ll wear my little Casio F-91W mod and smile each time I look down.
