I’m told this is the only white Turtle dial Seiko have released. It’s from the Indonesian only limited edition SRPJ52 and the original is a mess of colours with 3 shades of red on the insert, dial, and minute hand. My friend has had this dial for a couple of years now, holding out hope for an insert that matches the index frames but his OCD has been through a few failures. A watch enthusiasts OCD knows no bounds.
I recently picked up a colour printer to play around with and I was able to print a swatch so he can select the colour that best matches the indices. The difficulty with matching them comes down to how they reflect light off of their polished surface. This is the result and while maybe not perfect, is as good as it gets for his OCD… for now.
