Tissot PRX Custom Dials

I’ve modded a lot of PRX’s, both quartz and Powermatic 80 models. It’s hard to pick standouts, and sifting through the many photos is a chore in itself, but here are some recent ones.

The PRX is a fantastic watch in original form but it also lends itself well to modifications. Its relatively low price for a Swiss quality watch draws people to the model and sales numbers must be booming for Tissot, as evidenced by the constant release of new colourways. One of the most popular requests I get is to combine different colour dials with indices from a gold dial model.

I’ve always wanted to see what silver indices would look like on the silver dial which is only available with rose gold indices. I was fortunate enough to try it out and I have to say it is a very striking look.

I enjoy using the PRX as a donor watch. It’s well built with good porportions, has great wrist presence, and I have full confidence it will last a long time bringing years of joy to any owner, whether it’s modified or original.

    George,

I’ve always loved the idea of customizing a PRX. You are the first I’ve seen to have made it happen. Have you ever customized a 35mm quartz model? If so, I’d love to hear some tips on modding the dial if you’re willing to share.
